Watch live cuts for rigidity and chip evacuation. Compare spindle taper (40- vs 50-taper), max RPM, rapids and tool-change time, and whether a 4th axis drops in easily. Ask about the control generation and whether probing and high-speed machining options are installed — they drive both capability and resale.
