A permanent event layer for the machine ecosystem
This directory is built around the full manufacturing decision, not a narrow list of expos. Machine tools connect to tooling, workholding, automation, software, metrology, power, material handling, freight, rigging, installation, training and finance. Fabrication connects to cutting, forming, welding, finishing and inspection. Additive connects to materials, design, printing, post-processing and qualification. The calendar follows those relationships so a manufacturer can discover the right event and know what questions to carry onto the floor.
Every included date and venue must be traceable to an official organizer page. Distant editions appear only when the organizer has published them. An event page can therefore remain useful while its program is incomplete: the confirmed fact is separated from the planning framework, and time-sensitive details are sent back to the organizer for verification.

What each guide does
Each edition page begins with the organizer-published date, venue and location, then connects that event to manufacturing technology and the equipment decision. The pages explain what to compare, how to structure demonstrations, what installation and facility questions follow, how to normalize production-ready cost, and which Machine Blue Book references continue the research.
The directory deliberately does not mirror official exhibitor lists, floor plans, logos or photography. Those change, may be protected, and belong with the organizer. MBB links directly to the official source and provides the independent layer around it: application, evidence, integration, support, total installed cost and follow-through.
Choose a show by the production question
- Machine tools and precision machining: IMTS, JIMTOF, TIMTOS, PMTS, EMO and the Manufacturing Technology Series.
- Fabrication, welding and sheet metal: FABTECH and EuroBLECH.
- Automation, robotics and industrial AI: Automate, HANNOVER MESSE and the manufacturing technology events.
- Additive manufacturing: Formnext and RAPID + TCT, plus additive programs at IMTS and broader manufacturing shows.
- Assembly, quality and regulated production: The ASSEMBLY Show and MD&M West.
- Packaging, processing and material flow: PACK EXPO, EXPO PACK and ProMat.
- Materials and process industries: NPE for plastics and World of Concrete for concrete and masonry equipment.
How to use the calendar
Start with the process constraint, not the famous event name. If a shop needs a machining center, a machine-tool show may supply the closest comparison. If the real constraint is part movement, robotic handling, inspection or downstream packaging, a different event may be more valuable. A useful trip should answer a small number of expensive questions and create a written path to verify the answer.
For future editions, set a review date before booking. Organizer pages can change schedules, venues, registration terms and program details. MBB records what was officially published when the guide was built and makes the verification boundary visible.

Editorial and source policy
Organizer-controlled facts are sourced to official event pages. Machine Blue Book does not receive compensation merely for listing or linking an event and does not act as a ticket seller. Event names are used descriptively; associated marks remain the property of their owners.
