A useful manufacturing request is more than a drawing and a due date. Give MBB the process, material, quantity, quality and timing context needed to identify a relevant route.
ProcessTurning, milling, grinding, EDM, fabrication, additive or mixed route
MaterialSpecification, grade, condition and approved-source constraints
DemandPrototype, first article, bridge or recurring production
EvidenceInspection, certificates, validation and delivery requirements
Start with manufacturability, not a generic blast
State the part function, process family, material specification, quantity, tolerance drivers, finish, inspection and delivery need. A focused request lets capable suppliers respond to the real constraint instead of guessing from a file name.
Separate prototype from production
Prototype quantity, first-article verification, bridge production and recurring demand place different loads on programming, fixtures, inspection and material procurement. Identify the phase and expected follow-on volume so capacity can be evaluated honestly.
Make quality requirements explicit
If a drawing, contract or end market requires a quality-system registration, special-process approval, inspection report, material certificate or source restriction, say so before quoting. A logo on a supplier website is not proof that the required scope and site apply.
Protect the handoff
Share only the information needed for initial fit review. MBB does not ask for export-controlled data, payment details or confidential files through this form. A secure drawing exchange and nondisclosure process should be agreed directly with the selected manufacturer.
