SEVEN QUESTIONS BEFORE DELIVERY

Before the truck arrives, answer these.

This is a planning framework, not an engineering specification. The exact OEM preparation guide, a qualified rigger, licensed trades and applicable code control the work.

Can the machine physically reach the pad?

Confirm doorway, aisle, overhead, dock, crane, forklift, turning radius and floor-protection constraints.

Can the structure carry it?

Document machine weight, footprint, dynamic loading, anchoring guidance and the existing slab or foundation.

Are electrical requirements exact?

Match voltage, phase, frequency, full-load requirements, disconnect location, grounding and transformer needs to the delivered configuration.

Are air and fluid systems ready?

Verify pressure, volume, air quality, coolant, chiller, filtration, mist collection and any process-specific services.

Is the rigging sequence documented?

Define unloading, lift points, center of gravity, placement, leveling, anchor timing and responsibility at each handoff.

Who owns startup and acceptance?

Identify installation, OEM or distributor commissioning, geometric checks, test cuts, training and signoff criteria.

Is safety designed into the cell?

Plan guarding, access, energy isolation, egress and operator workflow with qualified safety and code professionals.

THE BOUNDARY

Do not build from a generic checklist.

Machine requirements vary by model, options, destination, building and code. MBB organizes the questions; it does not replace the OEM, engineer, electrician, rigger, installer or authority having jurisdiction.

PLANNING A NEW SHOP?

Connect the building decision to the complete startup plan.

Machine selection, access, utilities, installation, tooling, safety, quality and working capital should be evaluated together.

COMPLETE MACHINE OWNERSHIP

Buying, operating or selling?

Use the complete buyer-readiness and seller-economics systems to connect this decision to the machine, the site and the final number.
