Siemens Sinumerik

What is Siemens Sinumerik?

Sinumerik is Siemens' CNC control family, widely used on European machine tools and in high-end milling, 5-axis and large-machine applications. It offers powerful multi-axis and high-speed machining features and its own programming environment (ShopMill/ShopTurn for conversational work).

Sinumerik and Fanuc are the two dominant global control platforms; the one a shop knows influences which machines it buys.
