High-Pressure Coolant (HPC)

What is High-Pressure Coolant?

High-pressure coolant (HPC) pumps coolant at 700–1000+ psi (sometimes far higher) to break and evacuate chips, cool the cutting zone and extend tool life — especially in gummy or heat-resistant materials like stainless and titanium where chip control is the limiting factor.

HPC is often delivered through the spindle and tool (see through-spindle coolant) and can dramatically raise achievable feeds and speeds.
