Flood Coolant

What is Flood Coolant?

Flood coolant continuously washes the cutting zone with a stream (a 'flood') of coolant to cool the tool and part, lubricate the cut and carry chips away. It is the standard, general-purpose coolant delivery on most machining centers and lathes.

For deep holes and difficult materials, shops step up to through-spindle or high-pressure coolant.
