Tapping

What is Tapping?

Tapping cuts internal threads in a hole with a tap. Rigid tapping — where the control synchronizes spindle rotation exactly to Z feed — lets machining centers tap fast and accurately without a floating holder, and is standard on modern machines.

Tapping centers are lightweight, fast machines optimized for high-volume drilling and tapping of small parts.
