MRR (Material Removal Rate)

What is MRR?

MRR (Material Removal Rate) is how much material a process removes per unit time (e.g., cubic inches per minute) — the headline measure of roughing productivity. It's a product of depth of cut, width and feed.

Higher MRR means faster cycle time, limited by the machine's power, rigidity and the tool.
