Aluminum Machining

What is Aluminum Machining?

Aluminum is soft, light and highly machinable — it cuts fast at high spindle speeds with excellent finish, which is why high-speed machining and aluminum go together. The main challenges are chip control (long, stringy chips) and built-up edge, managed with sharp, polished tools and good coolant or MQL.

Its easy cutting makes aluminum ideal for high-RPM machines and prototyping.
