Double-Column Mill

What is Double-Column Mill?

A double-column (bridge) machining center supports the spindle head on a rigid portal of two columns and a crossrail, giving high stiffness and thermal symmetry for large, heavy, precise work. It's a gantry-style layout common for molds and large plates.

The symmetric structure resists deflection and heat, aiding accuracy on big parts.
