About MECT 2027
MECT is a biennial machine tool and mechatronics exhibition held in Nagoya, at the centre of Japan's Chubu manufacturing region. It features machine tools, tooling, measuring equipment and automation.
Scale, as published by the organizer: 2025 edition: 524 exhibitors, 2,092 booths, 77,613 visitors.
Why it matters for machine research
It is Japan's main machine tool show in years when JIMTOF is not held, with strong attendance from automotive and aerospace suppliers in central Japan.

Bring the part: material, tolerance, volume. Ask for the cycle time on your geometry, the control version and who services the machine in your area.
Before the show, shortlist exhibitors from the official exhibitor list. After it, compare the machines you saw in the MBB machine directory and work out the installed cost with total installed cost.
