SELLER VALUE AND NET PROCEEDS

Selling a Used CNC Machine

Do not stop at the advertised selling price. Understand the final amount you may receive after commission, fees, preparation, loading and negotiated deductions.

Document the exact asset

Create a complete identity record: manufacturer, model, serial, year, control, hours, configuration, options, tooling, service history, known faults, location and access conditions.

Build a supportable asking range

Compare genuinely similar machines and explain adjustments. A transparent range supported by condition and configuration is more credible than a high number copied from an unrelated listing.

Ask for the complete economics

If a broker, dealer or auctioneer is involved, ask for the expected selling price, commission, buyer premium, seller fees, marketing charges, storage, loading, preparation and any other deduction. Request an estimated net-to-seller calculation in writing.

Understand representation

Know whether the agreement is exclusive, how long it lasts, who controls pricing, where the machine will be marketed, what buyer network is already active and what happens if you find the buyer.

Control disclosure and access

Provide accurate known information without claiming what you cannot prove. Define inspection access, operating demonstrations, confidentiality, safety requirements and who may photograph or remove data from the control.

Secure funds before release

Use written payment and release conditions. Confirm funds according to the agreed method before the machine leaves, and document title, loading responsibility and transfer of risk.
