New vs used
A new reference and a used cohort are different kinds of evidence.
A current manufacturer page describes one published configuration. A used-market cohort is a set of asking prices for a model across years, not one machine. The table keeps the two apart and says which rows can be compared at all.
- Basis row on every column
- Year selection for used cohorts
- Configuration rows stay separate
Comparison
Side by side, with the evidence showing.
Rows show the published figure, its source and its state. Blank is never shown: a missing value reads “not captured”, and a value that depends on the configuration says so.

Row by row
What compares, what does not.
The renderer applies these rules automatically; this is what they mean.
| Row | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Comparison basis | “Current manufacturer reference” or “Used-market cohort, not a specific machine”. Read this row first. |
| Model year / scope | New: the published configuration today. Used: the year you selected, or all represented years. |
| Specifications | New: the manufacturer’s figure with its verbatim evidence. Used: the model’s reference sheet, which may not match an older unit. |
| Median published ask | Used only. New columns say “request a configured quotation”: list prices are not published asking evidence. |
| Condition / options / hours | Never captured for a cohort. Inspect the exact unit; see the used machine decision kit. |
| Source reviewed | The date MBB last read the page, and whether the record was re-reviewed or is an earlier capture. |

Asking prices are what sellers asked, not completed sales or appraisals. New-machine figures are as published by the manufacturer on the date shown; options, regions and revisions differ. Evidence standard
