From machine identity
to permitted arrival.
A practical handoff sequence for the buyer, seller, carrier, rigger, electrician and facility team moving a CNC machine into or through Florida.
Start with the controlling facts.
This guide organizes official sources and machine-specific questions. It is not a permit, route approval, engineering analysis or legal opinion.
Before the carrier prices the move
- Collect OEM shipping drawings, weight, dimensions, lift points and center-of-gravity information.
- Photograph the machine, accessories, control, serial plate and condition before disassembly.
- Identify removable parts, fluids, batteries, loose tooling and separately shipped accessories.
- Confirm origin access, loading equipment, destination access and final placement scope.
Before the truck departs
- Verify the loaded configuration matches the issued permits and route.
- Confirm cargo coverage, declared value, exclusions and claim procedures.
- Confirm required escorts, devices, movement window, weather and local approvals.
- Make the receiving site, rigger and exception contacts ready before movement begins.
Turn the facts into a controlled move.
Every handoff should have a named owner, a source document and a stop-work condition.
Identify
Lock the exact machine configuration and ownership/condition record.
Engineer the move
Choose rigging, trailer, axle configuration, securement and route.
Permit and coordinate
Obtain state and local authority and align escorts, appointments and delivery.
Receive and accept
Document arrival, unload, place, level, connect, commission and sign off.
Verify the current rule at the source.
Dates, route restrictions, bridge conditions and permit procedures can change. Use the current official material for the actual movement.
Machine Blue Book does not issue permits, calculate a legal route, certify a carrier or decide whether a load is divisible. The applicant, carrier and governing authorities control those determinations.
